My Dog

I Just Realized Something.

It just hit me!

My dog sleeps about 20 hours a day.
He has his food prepared for him.
His meals are provided at no cost to him.
He visits the Dr. once a year for his checkup, and again during the year, if
any medical needs arise.
For this he pays nothing, and nothing is required of him.
He lives in a nice neighborhood in a house that is much larger than he
needs, but he is not required to do any upkeep.
If he makes a mess, someone else cleans it up.
He has his choice of luxurious places to sleep.
He receives these accommodations absolutely free.
He is living like a king, and has absolutely no expenses whatsoever.
All of his costs are picked up by others who earn a living.
I was just thinking about all this and suddenly it hit me like a ton of
bricks………

My dog is a CONGRESSMAN !!!!!!!

Stuff that just came tumbling out of my head

Not only do people sometimes make mountains out of molehills, they then try to force others to climb them..

Some congressional representatives would more be more aptly called representatives of rich corporate America.

Have you ever noticed that during a discussion, debate, argument…the higher the decibel level of someone’s voice is directionally proportionate to their level ignorance?

I saw a sign on a store saying they sold new and used antiques.  How is this possible?

I’ve heard of such religious organizations as Jews for Jesus and Cops for Christ.  I have some ideas for more:

  • Sluts for Salvation
  • Prostitutes for Prayer
  • Whores for Holiness
  • Criminals for Christianity
  • Rejects for Resurrection
  • Jerks for Jesus (In doing a search to see if any of these might exist I actually found a site for this one.)

I could probably think of a dozen or so more, but I really should stop now.

If the TSA (which may stand for Touch Some Ass) is going to get personal with us perhaps they should become a more kinder and gentler agency where the screeners are more like the wait staff at a trendy bistro, something like this:

Businesses are becoming as needy as people.  They all want you to like them on Facebook.

Speaking of Facebook, is this really about networking or a contest where whoever collects the most friends wins?

If you have 538 friends on Facebook does that make you feel like one of the popular kids in high school?  Does it boost your self esteem?  How many of them do you actually know?  How many have you even met?  And more importantly how many of them will help you move, drive you to the airport, or be willing to take your call at three AM when you need someone to talk to?  The answer to the last question is the real number of friends you have and I’m guessing it’s not in the triple digits and in most cases not even double.  Facebook has re-defined friend.

I’m just saying…

The Dumbing of America

When I was a kid I believed that elected officials from the local level right on up to congress and the president were intelligent people who would do what is best for the citizens of this country.  Was that just my youthful gullibility?  Has it always been the case that if you’re too stupid to do anything else you are perfectly suited for a career in politics?

I’m not saying all politicians are stupid but intelligence is obviously not a requirement, and in fact seems to be an impediment to being elected.  There are an increasing proportion of politicos who would do better if they never opened their mouths, because when they do some really stupid crap comes spilling out.

Here are three videos relating to Rep. Louis Gohmert whose stupidity is just amazing.  In one video it is mentioned that he is a former judge, which means he somehow got through law school and managed to rise to the level of interpreting the law from the bench.  I thought that took at least some smarts which this guy just doesn’t have.  I don’t know, maybe he tripped getting down from the bench one day, fell on his head and wound up in politics.  If the scale keeps tipping in the direction of stupidity we, as a nation, are in deep shit.

WARNING C.R.I. Epidemic

George W. Bush

This just in.  Epidemiologists are working feverishly to isolate the virus  believed to cause C.R.I. (Cranial Rectal Inversion) in order to stop the record speed at which the virus seems to be spreading.  They believe the virus is being spread in several ways, the main one being watching Fox News.

Scientists working on eradicating C.R.I. have confirmed the virus originated with former president, George W.  Bush and is spreading rapidly.  Some fear this could reach epic proportions and cause the kind of panic we saw during the bird flu and swine flu scares.  Those most at risk are extreme right wing, republicans; though the disease has affected a number of democrats as well.  This may be due to the close proximity in which they work.

Among those thought to be infected are Arizona senator and former Presidential candidate, John McCain, former Alaska Governor and Vice Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin, right wing nut jobs talkers Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck,  and Sean Hannity.

Symptoms include: confusion, inability to speak intelligently or articulately, a blank stare when asked a question for which you do not have the answer written on your hand, hypocrisy, proposing bartering livestock for medical care as health care reform, automatically being against something simply because Obama thought of it (you’d think Obama would wise up and start using reverse psychology on these morons) …and last but not least severe addiction to filibustering.

Republican filibuster

After you watch this video you might want to mosey on over to Republicans in Congress where you can read about and watch multiple videos of some of the most outrageous lies coming out of the mouths of the right that you might want to keep an airsick bag handy while you’re there.
