My Plan for the Middle East

Will it never end? Doubtful. Do we send more troops or don’t we? I think ‘someone’ has created a situation where we’re damned if we do, and damned if we don’t.

In that region of the world there are radically different points of view, and they all keep fueling the fire. At this point it doesn’t even really matter who started it. Enough is enough. I don’t think war is the answer. I’m not sure there is a political or diplomatic answer. Maybe the solution is to simply take a lesson from Mom when the kids are incessantly quarreling and insisting the other started it. Mom doesn’t care who started it she puts them in a room and says, “You work this out on your own, and don’t come out until you do.”

So I say America (and the allies), take the money and the manpower and use it to build a massive, tunnel proof, and scale proof wall around the entire middle east (yes including Israel). Nothing or no one gets out and nothing or no one goes in (no importing or exporting and no help) until it is figured out how these nations can manage to co-exist. I don’t care how they do it, even if they all decide to annihilate themselves, so be it.

Americans have better things to worry about, like make sure our own people have access to food, shelter, quality education, and healthcare.

  1. I agree there.
No matter what America does, the two cultures (Israelis and Muslims) will never get along. Their views are just too radically different.

I believe we should withdraw from Iraq, maybe not completely, but also not all at once. We need to slowly withdraw troops – not just instantly cut the legs out from under Iraq.
    But that’s just my opinion.

  2. I also agree, at least with the diagnosis of the problem (damned if we do, damned if we don’t) I also think you are right that America (or Australia, where I’m from) should pay more attention to internal stuff.
The rest of it? I see what you mean, how can you really stop them attacking us.
One more thing; if the Jews were left to their own devices they would be utterly slaughtered – there is simply not enough of them, and they are surrounded by Moslem’s who hate their guts.
Dunno the solution, but in my opinion surely they can’t just be left to fend for themselves when someone has the power to intervene.

  3. Frederic- the term you’re looking for would be Israelis, not Jews. There are Jews living all over this country, while many people living in Israel are not even Jewish.. by making generalizations about “Jews” like you have you are making claims and digs at AMERICANS living all over the United States, not Israelis living in the middle east… and you’re pretty incorrect by saying that if the Israelis were left to their own devices they would be slaughtered.. obviously you are unfamiliar with the extremely strong military that Israel has, yes funded in larger part by the US but still strong in its own right when left on its own as has been shown numerous times.. they have been attacked by many neighboring middle eastern countries but survive without fail due to their strength and determination time and time again.. you might want to do a bit of research before attacking the Jewish people (which doesn’t even make sense in this context) and the Israeli people/army..

Throw in your two cents
