My Plan for the Middle EastFebruary 6, 2007 at 1:37 am | Posted in Miscellaneous, political, political commentary, political rants, rants, What if? | 3 Comments
Will it never end? Doubtful. Do we send more troops or don’t we? I think ‘someone’ has created a situation where we’re damned if we do, and damned if we don’t.
In that region of the world there are radically different points of view, and they all keep fueling the fire. At this point it doesn’t even really matter who started it. Enough is enough. I don’t think war is the answer. I’m not sure there is a political or diplomatic answer. Maybe the solution is to simply take a lesson from Mom when the kids are incessantly quarreling and insisting the other started it. Mom doesn’t care who started it she puts them in a room and says, “You work this out on your own, and don’t come out until you do.”
So I say America (and the allies), take the money and the manpower and use it to build a massive, tunnel proof, and scale proof wall around the entire middle east (yes including Israel). Nothing or no one gets out and nothing or no one goes in (no importing or exporting and no help) until it is figured out how these nations can manage to co-exist. I don’t care how they do it, even if they all decide to annihilate themselves, so be it.
Americans have better things to worry about, like make sure our own people have access to food, shelter, quality education, and healthcare.
