Is Mitt ready for a rubber room?

Or is he simply a garden variety Mittwit? From OpEd News:
I watched Mitt Romney give a speech at a rally and he spoke about the four dead in Bengazi. His facial expressions were bizarre and inappropriate. He said that the ambassador was “wonderful,” then paused, looking for another, better word. He couldn’t think of one, so he said it again, vacuously, “wonderful.” Then, he smiled in a strange, even more inappropriate way, making a remark about a moment of silence that he didn’t invoke.
Then, there’s the way he keeps revising the truth, changing the narrative in distorted, dishonest way.
The first symptom– inappropriate affect– reminded me of when I worked as part of an emergency psychiatry team. Inappropriate affect was a common symptom of mental illness– psychosis that would warrant involuntary psychiatric hospitalization.
That got me thinking. Another symptom was “confabulation” delusional ways of seeing. Freedictionary.com defines confabulation as:
“to fill in gaps in one’s memory with fabrications that one believes to be facts.”
Now, I don’t think Romney needs to be hospitalized involuntarily, but these symptoms do add to the concern I have when I think about Mitt Romney as president.
BTW, there IS another psychiatric category where you see inappropriate affect of a different sort– sociopath, also called psychopath.

Pastor Mike’s atheist registry – shades of Nazi Germany

Putting Atheists on a “National Registry” – What Say YOU? by Pastor Mike This made me physically sick when I read it. Here is yet another illustration of good christian love and tolerance for one’s fellow-man.
Pastor Mike lists his reasons (as if there would be any good ones) for wanting to create his atheist registry, but the subtext, as I read it, is to make atheists easy to spot should one feel the pressing need to commit a hate crime. I assume that in Pastor Mike’s twisted fantasy world, atheists would be issued an identifying arm band upon registration. What’s next, Pastor Mike, free train rides for atheists? Pastor Mike, you are one twisted motherfucker.
Why do many atheists hold a hatred toward a creator they say doesn’t exist? How can you hate something you claim doesn’t exist?“O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh” ( Matt. 12:34 )Brothers and Sisters , I have been seriously considering forming a ( Christian ) grassroots type of organization to be named “The Christian National Registry of Atheists” or something similar . I mean , think about it . There are already National Registrys for convicted sex offenders , ex-convicts , terrorist cells , hate groups like the KKK , skinheads , radical Islamists , etc..
This type of “National Registry” would merely be for information purposes . To inform the public of KNOWN ( i.e., self-admitted) atheists . For example , let’s say you live in Colorado Springs , Colorado , you could simply scroll down ( from the I-Net site /Blog ) I would have , to the State of Colorado , and then when you see “Colorado Springs” , you will see the names of all the self-admitted atheist(s) who live there ( e.g., if an atheist’s name happened to be “Phil Small” ) . The individual’s physical address , and other known personal information would NOT be disclosed ( though , perhaps a photo could be ) .
Now , many (especially the atheists ) , may ask “Why do this , what’s the purpose ?” Duhhh , Mr. Atheist , for the same purpose many States put the names and photos of convicted sex offenders and other ex-felons on the I-Net – to INFORM the public ! I mean , in the City of Miramar , Florida , where I live , the population is approx. 109,000 . My family and I would sure like to know how many of those 109,000 are ADMITTED atheists ! Perhaps we may actually know some . In which case we could begin to witness to them and warn them of the dangers of atheism . Or perhaps they are radical atheists , whose hearts are as hard as Pharaoh’s , in that case , if they are business owners , we would encourage all our Christian friends , as well as the various churches and their congregations NOT to patronize them as we would only be “feeding” Satan .
Frankly , I don’t see why anyone would oppose this idea – including the atheists themselves ( unless of course , they’re actually ashamed of their atheist religion , and would prefer to stay in the ‘closet.’ ) .
Anyway , my brothers and sisters , it’s something I would like to get your input on , as well as any other ideas or suggestions you may have along these lines . As Christians ,we CAN make a difference if we network together in fellowship , as well as seek guidance and advice from the Holy Spirit .
Until next time , may God bless and keep you all -
Yours in Christ ; Pastor Mike

Gidget Goes Insane

If you enjoy watching old movies…you know the ones that air in the wee hours and were made before acting was invented…then you may have come across Gidget, an adorable surfer girl and her zany friends. This popular character inspired several feature films (Gidget Goes Hawaiian, Gidget Goes to Rome), TV movies, and even a TV series back in the late 60′s and early 70′s when life was a blast. Good news for you late night Gidget fans, a new Gidget sequel coming soon to a cable station near far away from you. Click on the movie poster image so you can see what antics to expect from the sweetheart of surfers everywhere. Insomniac that I am, I often search for the most boring thing I can find, on television, that might put me to sleep and Gidget and the Big Kahuna will do it every time.
When I saw the latest nut job emerge from the Mad Hatter’s tea party, Christine O’Donnell, I couldn’t help but notice how Gidget-like she looked. Oh but looks deceive. Under that cute, innocent, albeit smug ala Sarah Palin, exterior beats the heart of an evil criminal. That’s right I said evil. You christians might want to pay attention to Ms. O’Donnell, GOP senate primary winner in Delaware, who claims she once dabbled in witchcraft. If she admits to having done it once, how can you be sure she isn’t still under the influence of Satan, who word has it doesn’t give up souls so easily, pretending to be a good christian? From Think Progress:
O’DONNELL: I dabbled into witchcraft — I never joined a coven. But I did, I did. … I dabbled into witchcraft. I hung around people who were doing these things. I’m not making this stuff up. I know what they told me they do. [...]
Her criminal activities, no doubt the work of Satan, include embezzling campaign funds for personal use and tax evasion. It seems O’Donnell has made a career of running for office by living on campaign funds. From ABC News The Blotter:
A watchdog group has filed official federal complaints against Tea Party candidate Christine O’Donnell, upset winner of Tuesday’s GOP Senate primary in Delaware, and has labeled her a “criminal” for allegedly using campaign contributions for rent and other personal expenses.
“Christine O’Donnell is clearly a criminal, and like any crook she should be prosecuted,” said Melanie Sloan, CREW Executive Director. In complaints filed with the Federal Election Commission and the US Attorney’s Office in Delaware, CREW alleges that O’Donnell used $20,000 in campaign funds to pay for living expenses in 2009 and 2010. “By misusing campaign funds,” said Sloan in a statement, “Ms. O’Donnell committed the crime of conversion; by lying about her expenditures on forms she filed with the FEC, she committed false statements; and by failing to include the campaign funds she misappropriated as income, she committed tax evasion.
Just when you think they can’t get any dumber or sink any lower…

I receive a surprising amount of email asking what I look like, requests to post a photo of myself or change my avatar to my real image. So in response to the overwhelming demand I am posting a picture of myself taken on a recent visit to Los Angeles.
I’m not including it in this post as some of you might wish to keep the mystique alive, but for those of you that curiosity has gotten the better of click here to see my photo.
