After her death, rules were broken to expedite her rise to sainthood, but according to her recently released diaries she had some serious doubt, even disbelief as to the existence of the invisible man in the sky.
“In my own soul, I feel the terrible pain of this loss. I feel that God does not want me, that God is not God and that he does not really exist.”

If the Bible is Proof God Exists…
August 23, 2007 at 10:07 pm | Posted in Atheism, Beliefs, god, humor, Religion, stupidity | 5 Comments…then I suppose the fact that “he” has registered “his” own domain and has “his” own website (new window) should clear up any doubts we may have.
I actually heard (ok overheard) this argument taking place in the next booth when I stopped for lunch yesterday. We’ve all heard the old circular reasoning about the existence of god and the truth of the bible, because the bible says it’s so. The person behind me took this a ridiculous step further by saying, “If there is no god then how do you explain the fact that he has his own website? If you don’t believe me just go to god dot com and see for yourself!”
Hey Bush! You Are the Pot Calling the Kettle Black!
August 23, 2007 at 8:08 am | Posted in Bush, crooks & liars, government, hypocrisy, political, president, war | Leave a commentA friend emailed an article that contains an interesting quote from our hypocrite in chief who evidently operates under the “do as I say not as I do” school of thought.
The bold was added my yours truly for emphasis.
As US support for al-Maliki ebbed further, Ryan Crocker, the US ambassador to Iraq, described Iraq’s political progress “extremely disappointing”.
Bush, at a summit in Canada, said that the Iraqi people, not their government, deserved credit for reconciliation efforts.
“If the government doesn’t respond to the demands of the people, they will replace the government.”
“That’s up to the Iraqis to make that decision, not American politicians,” he said.

Assuming We Have One, Will It Be Stolen Again?
August 22, 2007 at 11:02 am | Posted in Bush, Cheney, crooks & liars, elections, government, political campaigns, president | 2 CommentsDoes it matter who gets the democratic nomination? The republicans stole the last election so what guarantees do we have they won’t do it again? Steal from me and I’m not going to trust you again. I used to believe that corrupt elections only occurred in countries run by evil dictators, oh wait, that would be us wouldn’t it?
As far as I know, no real safeguards have been put in place to insure that people aren’t denied their rights to vote, and that all votes will be counted. Honestly!
