It's Like Rats Deserting a Sinking Ship

I’m trying very hard to avoid the news because I find the situation in Washington disturbing.  Nevertheless I haven’t gone so far as to hole up in a cave, so some of it is still filtering in.  It is as if it permeates the air we breathe

Now that it looks like the shit is hitting the fan it seems as if some republicans are beginning to see the whole situation in a new light and are singing a new song.  Or could it be that they are just thinking about keeping their jobs when they’re up for re-election so they are bailing like rats deserting a sinking ship?  It’s so pathetic it’s almost laughable.
